We developed an automation megaproject for the city of Moquegua, for the supervision and control of 11 water enclosures, which comprise from its catchment point "El Totoral", 5 reservoirs, 4 sectorization chambers and an operations center located in its plant of Chen Chen drinking water treatment.

With this project, EPS Moquegua's facilities were technologically modernized and its operations significantly improved for the benefit of more than 70 thousand inhabitants.

The levels of automation were:

1. Implementation of field instrumentation
2. Assembly of rectification, automation and control boards
3. Telecommunications development
4. SCADA system for 11 remote stations

What was achieved?

  • Control the amount of water for the population, that is, increase or decrease according to consumer demand.
  • Provide a more efficient and safe water supply to the city, reducing water outages.
  • Locate faults accurately and quickly, improving your contingency and emergency response plans.
  • Improve water conservation.
  • Personnel trained in the new system, increasing efficiency and allowing them to carry out various tasks.
