About project
Client: N&L General EIRL
Year: 2023
The implementation consisted of updating the SCADA database and configuring the signal routing in the FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration) mode graphical interface. This involved updating configuration files in the SEYA RTUs and algorithms in the FLISR RTU, as well as related software. The solution was achieved through a rigorous management of the standard architecture, ensuring the order and continuous operation of the SCADA system, and facilitating the visualization, understanding of energy flows and actions taken by the system in FLISR contingency situations.
All the activities programmed in the work plan for the FLISR project were executed, in strict compliance with the deadlines established in coordination with EUSA and N&L Contratistas Generales. The upgrades performed increased the FLISR system’s capacity to automatically identify and isolate faults in the electrical network, minimizing service interruption time and improving the quality of the energy delivered to users.
The company obtained the following benefits:
– Improved ability of the system to respond quickly and effectively to grid outage events.
– Minimization of power outage time. -Improvement in the quality of energy delivered to users. -Increased reliability and resilience of the power supply.
– Minimization of power outage time. -Improvement in the quality of energy delivered to users. -Increased reliability and resilience of the power supply.
– Experience gained to plan and execute similar projects in the future, keeping the system updated and adapted to the changing needs of the operating environment.
– Compliance with the Smart Grid roadmap.
